The Tigerettes will play Hedley tonight, Jan. 13 at 5, followed by the Tigers at 6:30. Its a good bounce back game for us, senior Jeff Marshall said. And it should be a good tone setter for the rest of district. In addition to the time changes for today, the junior high tournament that was scheduled for tomorrow, Jan. 14, has been rescheduled for Saturday, Feb. 4.

The Invitational Groom Tournament begins today, Dec. 15, and will continue through Saturday, Dec. 17. The Tigerettes will play Darrouzett this afternoon at 3, followed by the tigers at 4:30. Its our last tournament of the season, sophomore KLeigh Keesee said. We finally get to rest our bodies after this tournament.

Groom Invitational Tournament Continues

The Groom Ettes were presented the championship trophy after a big win against the Lazbuddie Lady Longhorns. This past weekend, the Ettes traveled two hours, there and back, there and back, there and back, for a total of twelve hours to play in the Adrian basketball tournament. I was excited because its been awhile since we have won a championship in a tournament, sophomore Madison Friemel said.

The Tigers and Ettes will be in New Home for a tournament Dec. 1-3. All students going will leave the school on Nov. 30 at 12:45 and arrive in Lubbock around 3:45. The games will be played at New Home High School which is located 25 minutes southwest of Lubbock.
