A group of sixth graders admire the newly updated multi-screen hallway display. Its been a solid year and a half since the display was originally put up by our now sophomore in college, Garet Rocha. The new pictures are adding a new dimension to Groom ISD, Mrs. Payton said. Theyre fun and exciting.

Junior high students Blayne Shuck, Owen Britten, Bryson Shuck, and Ryan Weinheimer lounge around after signing each others yearbooks. They also indulged in some donuts brought by Jacob Workman. I liked how the yearbook was and how the party turned out, Weinheimer said.

Owner Jerry Hartman from J & G Hartman Brothers loads metals for the new bus barn, using his forklift. Huseman Builders site manager Raul Ramos said the Hartmans company will put the entire building up with just a two-man crew. Its going to be nice, maintenance director Kenneth Payton said. It should hold our whole fleet of vehicles.

The fair held two rooms worth of stations - at least 13 different exhibits were led by ag-course students. Advocating for ag is one of my favorite things to do, sophmore Hallie Thompson said. And, Im so glad I get to do it.

Feb. 27. If you think you ordered and dont receive yours, just contact Mrs. Roskens. It was very exciting getting to look at the group photos first, Parker said.

Runners Aubrey Ritter and Chandra Rice practice their sprints before their first track meet in Lefors this week. The junior high, will leave at 1:30 p.m. Thursday. The high school will leave at 10:30 a.m. on Friday. Its always exciting to start the track season with the first track meet, coach Tony Dodson said.

During a close game against Shamrocks Lady Irish, the Ettes prevail with a 2-point victory. In this game played Jan. 10 in Groom, the varsity girls sealed their victory with a  free throw from sophomore Madison Friemel, which brought the final score to 58-56.

Freshman Kodi Tiffin becomes frustrated with the Globe Theatre project assigned by Coach Nicole Black for English I. The freshman class has been studying all things Shakespeare as they prepare start reading  Romeo and Juliet. My friend William Kelly is all for the hands on projects, Tiffin said.  Myself, not so much. I despise all thing concerning this dumb Theatre.
