High School Cheerleaders picked an oldies theme for this weeks pep rally for the high schools last district game. The Cubs will play tonight at 5 in Silverton followed by the Tigers playing at 7:30. The cheerleaders have done a great job with their pep rallies this year, Kathleen Barkley said. They are always something to look forward to for the Tigers and fans!

Cheerleaders test black-out lights and form hearts to show their love for the Tigers. The black light pep rally always takes place on one Oct. Friday. I like the glowing necklaces, Brock Britten said. The necklaces will be $1 each. Make sure to come to the black-out pep rally on Oct. 21 at 3:20 in the gym and attend the football game at 7:30 p.m. I like when the cheerleaders do their dances, Maci Keesee said especially in the dark!

Students and faculty members dress up in pink for Breast Cancer awareness month. Friday afternoon, Oct 7, the cheerleaders will host a pink out pep rally at 3:20. Were honoring the ladies that have fought through tough times in addition to encouraging our Tigers, sophomore KLeigh Keesee said. Wear your red and your pink, and come join us.

High school cheerleaders participate in tourist day on Wednesday, Sept. 7. Each day of the week is a different dress-up day during homecoming. Front and center in the red and white dress you can find Freshman Ginna Miller, who said that her costume included beans and pantyhose, which you can see - and cant see - all at the same time. She and friend Cade Linquist entertained friends by staying in their senior citizen travel character all day long between classes.

Homecoming arrived early this year, but that didnt stop the high school cheerleaders from filling the hallway with superhero decorations. I think the hall looks great, junior Logan Siler said. The cheerleaders did a really good job this year. Events will be going on every evening this week.
