Groom Tigers Vs Valley Patriots

This week the Tigers face off against the Valley Patriots at home. The game starts at 7:30 p.m. with a bonfire to follow if weather permitting.

In this game, the boys played White Deer for the second time. The Tigers district record was 4-10. I think the boys improved a bunch, Coach Jay Lamb said. Start to finish. Individual skills got much better.

Tigers and Tigerettes traveled to White Deer ISD for the track meet March 24. They left at 8:30 this morning and wont return until later this afternoon. Even thought we are battling wind, illnesses, and minor injuries we are competing and working hard, Coach Nichole Black said. There are many things to expect for the Tigers and Tigerettes during this track season.

Jowannah Powers room is full of color, but also a sense of security as the watchful eyes of the Tiger guard the door. The Tiger eyes symbolize the symbol of the school, Powers said. It was my symbol when I got here, and I think its a nod to the Tiger spirit.

The Tigerettes line up for pre-game ceremonies during their match-up  on Tuesday, Jan. 17 in White Deer.  The Ettes will play the Lefors Lady Pirates tonight, Jan. 24, at 6 in Groom, followed by the Tigers. Im excited to start the second half of district, freshman Ginna Miller said.

The Tigers practice during athletics on game day. The Tigers and Tigerettes will play White Deer there tonight, Tuesday, Jan. 17, starting at 6. This is a big game for both teams because were both 3-0 in district, sophomore KLeigh Keesee said. One team is going to end up 3-1 tonight.
