Senior Leslie Germany is the 18-year-old daughter of Gracie Germany of White Deer. Leslie has attended Groom Independent School District for five years and has helped with the online newspaper and yearbook for three years. Germany participates in cross country, basketball, track, One Act Play and UIL. She also is an active member of her youth group at St. Vincent de Paul in Pampa. In her spare time, she loves spending time with her family and friends.

OAP advances to regionals from area. The cast and crew will perform in Levelland on Saturday, April 8. We are doing much better than I thought we would, junior actor Jamey Germany said. Im very proud of everyone . We wouldnt be here without each other.

20 OAP cast and crew members gather around their advancing play plaque. The group earned numerous of awards at District and will be advancing to bi-district, which will be on Thursday, March 23 in Fort Elliott. It was nerve-wracking waiting to see if we would get called, freshman Ginna Miller said.

Senior Mason Miller picks up a hose on the back of one of the fire trucks at the Groom Volunteer Fire Department. Millers  dream of becoming a fire fighter is something hes wanted for quite some time. In May, when I graduate, I plan to do my Emergency Medical Technician-Basic Clinicals, finish my EMT class and gain my EMT-Basic certification, Miller said. After that, I plan to attend the Amarillo Fire Academy.

Sophomore Halle Barkley meets Fancy for the first time. Barkley will take this pig to the Carson County Junior Livestock Show and the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo. I was super excited that stock show season was here, Barkley said of that night.
