Senior Caroline Britten is the 17-year-old daughter of Mike and Marla Britten. This is the third year for Caroline to be in the Journalism class as a Feature Editor and women's sports editor for The Times of The Tiger online newspaper. Caroline has attended Groom since kindergarten. She is involved in cross country, basketball, track, UIL, One Act Play and tennis. Caroline also is active in her youth group at Immaculate Heart of Mary.  In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family.

Luck Runs Short

Caring for Kinders …

A locked security door and a doorbell separate any school visitors from being able to come straight in to interact with students. Students seem unfazed by the extra doors, unless they are locked out before 7:15 a.m. on a cold morning. I think theyre fine, seventh-grader Saffron Eugea said. They do make me feel safer.

Sophomore Matthew Bowen gets ready to shoot his free throw and focuses on the basket. The Tigers took on the Miami Warriors on Friday. The final score was 31 to 33 with Miami coming out on top. For just four practices, we played really well.

Last-Minute Losses

Four-year-old Mason Bell focuses on the ball as it comes his way. Bell will receive his needed surgery either this month or next month. Mason was asking all about the doctors taking his head off and what they were going to do with it, Bell said. He asked what kind of saw they would have to use.
