Student Council announces homecoming court

The Groom homecoming court of 2013 gathers on the front lawn for a picture for both the school as town newspapers. Homecoming coronation will be Oct. 3 at 8 p.m., followed by the traditional Bonfire. Members of this year's homecoming court are Vidal Ybarra, Renee Payne, Rion Broome, Kaitlyn Ruthardt, Trenton Fields, Megan Ruthardt, Zach Holloway, Katelin Weller, McKenna Britten, Nick Bohr, Cari Weinheimer, Brayton Hendricks, Shaunna Corley and Hayden Ritter.  Alex Thornton and Kenny Blackwell will serve as first-grade escorts.

School installs cameras

Someone or something caused one of the glass doors near the superintendent's office to break. Over summer break, the school installed $5,900 in camera equipment. Administrators now are learning how to replay specific footage to be able to have video documentation of exactly what happened during moments that caused damage like what is shown here.
