“True Tiger” Student of the Week-Oct. 8: Michael Morris (Grade 4)

What does it mean to be a Groom Tiger?  Starting this week, we will be honoring a deserving student weekly that has shown the true character of a Tiger.  A “True Tiger” exhibits kindness, grit, initiative, and hustle.  The student will be honored during the morning announcements, and he or she will be given a prize during the week.

This week’s “True Tiger” student of the week was submitted by math teacher Jennifer Carter.  Congratulations to fourth grader Michael Morris for demonstrating what it means to be a Tiger at Groom.  Mrs. Carter said that recently in math class, Michael has “helped other kids that didn’t quite get the problems that day.”  It is rare when Micheal is “seen without a smile on his face.”  Other teachers also describe him as “always positive”.

Prinicpal Stephen Vanderpool and the faculty want to continue to honor kids at Groom ISD.  If you would like to nominate a commendable student, please e-mail senior Hallie Thompson at [email protected]
