Life is full of risks and choices that determine our future. Make the wrong one and you could face severe consequences. Taylor goes through that journey in the book "Defending Taylor" by Miranda Kenneally. "I like this book a lot," said Sophomore Kirsten Rice. "It is at a mature Audience level but I recommend it to anyone wanting to try a new author."

“Defending Taylor” by Miranda Kenneally

Taylor has always pushed herself to be perfect. After all, that’s what is expected of a senator’s daughter. But one impulsive decision, one lie to cover for her boyfriend, and Taylor gets kicked out of a private school. Everything that she has worked so hard for is gone, and now she’s starting over at Hundred Oaks High, her rival school. Soccer has always been Taylor’s escape from the pressures of school and family. However, it’s hard to fit in and play on a team that hates her. The only person who seems to understand everything she is going through, is her brother’s best friend, Ezra. Taylor has had a crush on him for as long as she can remember, but it’s hard to trust him after having been betrayed. Will Taylor repeat her past mistakes or can she have a fresh start?

“He’s the reason I don’t plan on dating again. Because you gamble when you give your heart to a guy. I bet wrong!” said Taylor, from the book Defending Taylor.

” This book has brought me to a new level of reading and gave me a new author I liked. It also introduced me a new genre to try. Your emotions will elevate if you really get into it. This book is for mature readers, but I recommend it for anyone who is looking for a new author to try.” said Rice.
