"Totally Uncalled For" is an extra credit opportunity for Coach Black's English classes. Students can write anything from book reviews, to restaurant reviews. "Totally Uncalled For" is completely optional but encouraged for extra credit. It is seen as a good way for students to share their work with their friends and get some extra credit points. "I enjoy the "Totally Uncalled For" board," said Sophomore Kirsten Rice.

Monsters by Kirsten Rice, is an extra credit paper she wrote for “Totally Uncalled For” that gets hung up in English teacher, Mrs. Black’s room on her chalkboard.

Monsters

We all have our own monsters

In our homes
In our heads

Darkness we can’t chase away
With bottles of poison

The kind that drag us down
Further than we’ve ever known

Feeling that something’s missing
That fear that leaves us all alone
