More stories from Kirsten Rice
The sophomore students take on ” The Lord of The Flies” by William Golding in English II with Coach and English teacher Nichole Black. The sophomore’s were building shelters that had to be safe from animals and withstand the weather on a deserted island as if it was them living on it.
“So far the book is great and I can’t wait to continue and finish this book,” Rice said.
When reading they do several activities that tie into survival and the book. They are reading and learning how to be great survivors if they ever get stranded on a island.
Lord of the Flies is about several little boys who have been stranded on a island with no adult supervision. They have to work together to survive and create a government. As they start working together, their government collapses and they start to hear strange noises in the night. They are far from reality and they hope to be rescued.
