Jamarie Burns explains why the kindergarten and first-grade students were caught running through the halls today at Groom School. This annual hunt once again captured the dramatic attention of its participants. Why were they running? “Because the Gingerbread Man hopped out of the oven,” kindergarten student Jamarie Burns said.

The kindergarten and first-grade classes, led by teacher Melissa Ritter and substitute Carolyn Scott, found themselves in a heated chase when their Gingerbread man sneaks out of the oven.
