The junior class stack their hands to show off their new class rings. Seven juniors attended the annual “Ring Ceremony” meeting, hosted by Jostens’ Todd Morgan, in the auditorium today, Dec. 12, with their family and friends. “I was so excited that we finally got them during the ceremony,” Jamey Germany said. “It kicked in that graduation may seem far away, but in reality, it’s close.” In addition, to senior rings, secretary Frances Payton received a ring that Principal Steven Vanderpool and Superintendent Jay Lamb presented to her before the juniors’ ceremony. To surprise her, Jostens and everyone in school came down for the ceremony where the ring was presented as a gift to her in honor of her 36 years of service to Groom ISD.
