Ginna Miller, Jamey Germany Qualify for Next Cross Country Level

Freshman Ginna Miller and Junior Jamey Germany will be headed to the Regional Cross Country Meet at Mae Simmons Park in Lubbock on Oct. 29. These two Tigerettes earned their tickets to regionals after Miller placed eighth and Germany took the tenth-place qualifier spot today, Oct. 17, in the District 2 1A Meet held at the Country Club in Shamrock. “It’s what we’ve been preparing for all season,” Junior Jamey Germany said.

Freshman Ginna Miller and Junior Jamey Germany finished in the top 10 today, Oct. 17, in Shamrock to qualify for the regional cross country meet in Lubbock at Mae Simmons Park, which will be held Oct. 29.

Miller placed eighth, and Germany placed tenth at the District 2 1A Cross Country Meet held on the Country Club grounds in Shamrock this afternoon. In addition to the accomplishment of these two, the junior high boys took first place as a team. Braxton Johnson took first. Damon Kuehler placed third. He was followed by Cael Ruthardt in fourth, Braedon Williams in fifth, and Tanis Terbush in sixth. Phineas Eugea took eleventh.

Aubrey Ritter also placed among top finishers for the junior high girls, taking the fifth-place spot. All of the Groom runners are preparing and competing under the direction of head cross country coach Kylee Armenta. She is assisted by Coach Niki Black.
